 The RUBIC UNA WIRELESS system is an expanded version of the classic monitoring system. The device can communicate with evacuation lighting fixtures wired and wirelessly. The use of Mesh networks and innovative data transmission algorithms allowed to achieve a range of up to 300 m in open space. 

The system operates in the ISM 868 MHz band, which allows it to overcome obstacles such as concrete ceiling and walls. The band used allows for a fourfold increase in range compared to devices operating in the 2.4 GHz band, such as standard Wi-Fi access points.

The RUBIC UNA WIRELESS control panel has a built-in additional slave module with an antenna for communication with wireless luminaires. Antennas have been installed in the evacuation lighting fixtures in a way that minimizes interference as much as possible, resulting in very good ranges.

RUBIC UNA WIRELESS
The main component of the system is the RUBIC UNA WIRELESS control panel, suitable for mounting on non-flammable flat surfaces (wall). Mounting places and cable passages are covered with housing elements, which must be removed for installation.  The control panel is equipped with a 7” touch screen display. All necessary information about the system status is displayed on the main screen. From the main screen we have the possibility of full system configuration. Each control panel is equipped with an internal battery that maintains the functionality of operation for a period of at least 3 hours, in case of loss of primary power supply. 
The control panel works with external modules and luminaires equipped with address modules. Addresses are assigned at the production stage, so no additional device in the form of an address programmer is required during installation and maintenance work.

MPW250-Power module
MPW250-Power slave module is used to expand the system by another 250 luminaires. An additional 3 external modules can be installed. The device is adapted for mounting on a TH35 (DIN) rail. It is powered by 230 V AC, additionally it has a built-in battery for continuous operation after a power outage. The device communicates with the RUBIC UNA WIRELESS control panel by means of an internal communication protocol using LAN and RJ45 connector located at the bottom of the housing. Communication with luminaires is realized by RS485 communication, wiring can be connected to two parallel channels.

MWB module
The RUBIC UNA WIRELESS system has the ability to control dynamic evacuation lighting fixtures. By using the MWB potential-free input module, signals from the Fire Protection systems are collected and the dynamic scenario is activated. The MWB module should be installed on the communication line in the same way as the luminaires. The MWB can activate up to 12-scenarios for dynamic luminaires connected within the same slave module. It is possible to install more modules within the system. The module should be powered from an external source, which can be a ZMPU uninterruptible power supply.

ZMPU power supply
Uninterruptible power supply ZMPU is designed to work with accessories used in the RUBIC UNA WIRELESS system. It provides backup power to the modules for emergency operation. The use of the uninterruptible power supply to power the SWITCH secures the transmission of information between the slave module and the RUBIC UNA WIRELESS control panel despite the lack of the basic power supply. The device has a diode that indicates the status of its operation. Thanks to such a function, you can easily get information such as whether the internal battery is operational and charged, there is no overload at the output of the power supply, the power supply operates from battery power.

NS Switch
Each slave module communicates with the control panel via Ethernet. The maximum LAN cable length is 100 m. If the distances are longer then a network switch is required to increase the distance by another 100m. The NS switch should have continuous power supply even in case of primary power failure. Lack of guaranteed power supply eliminates communication between the MPU250-Power slave unit and the RUBIC UNA WIRELESS panel. The device comes in two varieties, 5- and 8-channel. They are designed to be mounted on a DIN rail. The distribution devices can be successfully powered using the ZMPU uninterruptible power supply.
